Master Scuba Diver

Master Scuba Diver is the highest rating that a non-professional diver can attain.  A Master Scuba Diver has shown their dedication to becoming a proficient diver through their continued training and their diving experience.  To become a Master Scuba Diver one must first be certified as a Rescue Diver, have a minimum of 5 Specialty certifications, and have logged a minimum of 50 dives.  Becoming a Master Scuba Diver shows the diving world that you have what it takes to be among the elite in the diving industry.

The duration of time to become a Master Scuba Diver is dependent upon the individual diver.  Obtaining the Master Scuba Diver Rating is not a class.  It is a series of classes from Open Water Diver through Rescue Diver in addition to five Specialty classes.  The prequisites for certification are certification as a Rescue Diver, certification in 5 Specialties, and a minimum of 50 logged dives.
